Project Description

COGEBANK, as one of the largest financial institution in Rwanda, has set itself the goal of strengthening its position on the local and international market in order to become one of the leading banks in East Africa. This proposal was thus a cornerstone in its corporate strategy and an architectural landmark in the capital city.

The design is based on the metaphor of a treasure trove, keeping its valuable content safe. Located on the new administrative and business center of Kigali, the new headquarter expresses important values in banking: trust through transparency and solidity. According on the line of vision, as well as on the light incision, the construction may appear to be solid but, on the other hand, may also consent a glimpse to the interior.

The new building, with a total number of floors equal to 8 and a gross floor area of 17,157 m2, offers three main entrances and an access ramp to the two basement parking floors. The COGEBANK head office will occupy the first 4 floors, from the ground to third floor and the remaining floors will be rented.
